Competent Working at Height and Harness Training Courses
Course Overview
This course will enable the trainee to have the knowledge and skills for all your workings at height.
This course will guide you through the selection and inspection of various fall arrest systems, our practical training area provides scenarios to ensure you understand the use, installation and disestablishment of proprietary height safety systems, restraint systems, anchor points, work positioning, and developing and implementing a rescue plan.
With the dangers of the work site we will cover the hazards associated with scaffolds, mobile elevated work platforms, ladders, guardrails and walkways.
Learning Objectives
- Explain the legislative and personal responsibility.
- Identify risks and hazards associated with wearing a safety harness.
- Understand fall protection systems, harness systems, associated equipment and recording requirements.
- Check, inspect and fit a full body harness.
- A combination of discussion, demonstration and practical application of using proprietary height safety systems.
- Identify suitable anchor points, install and understand suitable anchor points for fall restraint and fall arrest systems.
- Determine safe work methods and understanding minimising risk.
- Understanding the requirements for rescue planning, establish rescue plan and emergency procedures for working at heights.
Duration : 1 day (8 hours)
Fees : $390.00 + gst (per person)
Entry Criteria
Wellbeing, Fitness and attitude:
It is the client's responsibility to ensure all attendees are physically fit and capable of working at height.
Dates and Course start times:
MAXSAFE will have confirmed dates of upcoming courses. If you are on the list for training you will be notified 2-3 weeks prior to your course commencing. All courses start at 8:00am unless otherwise stated.
Bookings:
You can register your interest for training by emailing or calling us, you will then receive confirmation of your booking. If a booking is made and that person cannot attend, another person can take their place without any charge. Please see below for cancellation policy.
Charges and Payment:
All invoices will be issued after the course, certificates and cards will not be issued until payment is made. Price is exclusive of GST. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Cancellation Policy:
Course cancellation 7 days or more prior to commencement date, no cancellation fee Course cancellation 4-7 days prior to commencement date, $30 cancellation fee Course cancellation 1-3 days prior to commencement date, $50 cancellation fee Do not arrive on the day, arrive late or leave during the course (with no acceptable reason),
$90.00 cancellation fee
Cancellation fees are per attendee, all fees are excluding GST.
MAXSAFE reserves the right to postpone, cancel or re schedule courses due to low enrolments or unforeseen circumstances. If this should occur a full refund or reschedule (without penalty) will be offered.
